A Services Oriented Organization

The Vistua Network is a private membership technology service in the state of New York and world-wide in the public Internet.

The Mission of The Vistua Network is to provide specific, professional, useful computer services? and technical support to its members.

We are an informal, private services organization and it is not possible to become a member except by invitation. The Vistua Network is privately funded and does not accept advertising, promotional consideration or government grants. Donations are not being solicited at this time.

About the Hub

The Vistua Hub is the main Vistua web-site. The word "hub" was chosen for this because "web-site" is a long, hard word that is difficult to pronounce or spell correctly.

The Hub is a communications medium and a support resource for Vistua Network Users. For more information about Hub technologies see colophon

Policy

Sometimes a policy is needed to guide use of Vistua resources or to indicate Administration's opinion on certain matters. These are published here and in some cases messages posted on News & Notes may be considered normative.

The Administration seeks to avoid heavy-handed policy imposition.
