Vistua.com operates a Twitter® service. The Vistua Network offers News & Notes Journal and the Site Notice Board and General Notice Board for longer-form updates but sometimes minor updates are needed that don't justify a full N&N entry or a GNB or SNB posting. Furthermore GNB and SNB have no RSS feeds so they are harder to keep track of, if all GNB/SNB postings are tweeted followers of @vistua and its RSS feed can be notified of such postings easily.

The @vistua service is partially automated by the this bot (What's a bot?).

This bot performs the following actions

• If @vistua is followed
  • It follows follower
  • It DMs follower: "Adam-7 sez: Thank you for following @vistua! visit http://www.vistua.com/News for other VNS news services. We will follow you as a courtesy."
• If @vistua is @ replied
  • It DMS @ reply to admin's personal account. (causing reply to show up in his email inbox)

This bot is not responsible for generating @vistua's tweets those are manually generated by the administrator and send in by web or more often-then-not directly from bit.ly.
