Journal: Decommissioning Groupware Portal

The Groupware portal, formerly located at portal.vistua.com has been discontinued due to very low user uptake and end-of-life of that product. The Mail, "Google Docs"β and Calendar apps remain available and we plan to continue offering these.

Because the portal.vistua.com domain has also been removed, all its subdomains have relocated, Calendar is now accessed through calendar.vistua.com and Docs are now available through gdocs.vistua.com.

Due to technical limitations of Dns, it may take some hours before these new addresses become functional, until that time the old addresses will continue to work. If, however, you have bookmarked the Calendar or Docs apps you must check your bookmarks and see if you need to update them. The mail app has not moved. Links to the correct addresses are in the gray ribbon at the top of the site.

For those not familiar with it, Google Docs is a highly experimental online office suite, it is not quite ready for use yet, though, so we never publicized its availability and it does not appear in the tools ribbon.
