How to Watch DTV with the Magnavox Converter Box

This box is attached to the "RF" connector, thus DTV is viewed by the TV set as being an STV channel, specifically channel 3.

DTV step by step

1. Turn on the DTV box.
2. Turn on the TV set.
3. Set the TV set to Channel 3 using its remote.
4. Set the DTV channel using the DTV box remote.
5. Change the volume using the STV remote.

DTV features

You can activate the Electronic Programming Guide "EPG" by pressing the "EPG" button on the DTV box remote, press again to deactivate.

This box is capable of outputting letterboxed and stretch-o-vision, the setting to do can be found in the DTV box menu, where the subtitling options can also be found. To open the menu use the "setup" button, use the "arrows" and "ok" button to navigate the menu.

Watching DVDs

The DVD player is attached to the RCA video input on the TV set.

DVD step by step

1. Turn on the TV set.
2. Turn on the DVD player.
3. Press the "game" button on the TV remote.
4. Load a DVD into the player
5. Use DVD player remote to control DVD playback and menus
6. Use TV set remote to change volume.
