The WikiName of this article and the correct name of the technology is in CamelCase like this: "DjVu", however the filename extension for DjVu files should always be in lowercase.

DjVu (pronounced déjà vu) is a wavelet-based compressed file format for textual documents. It is a rival to the older PDF format. Like PDF it aims to perfectly preserve formatting in all circumstances.
DjVu most often chosen over PDF because it offers superior Compression. DjVu has had more success in gaining traction than other PDF rivals, partially because it is a completely open and free specification. It is also believed not to be patented.
There are a few DjVu files on The Vistua Hub, but mostly the PDF format is used. DjVu and PDF are used to distribute files intended mostly for printing because these formats are capable of preserving typesetting and formatting information perfectly on all platforms.
Links to DjVu files on The Vistua Hub are marked with this icon:
which is a standard icon for DjVu files.
