There are two breeds of documentation from the O.S. Vendor, "Official" documentation and "Community" documentation. Official documentation is approved and created by Canonical, Ltd but has limited scope and is somewhat vague in some cases. By contrast, Community documentation (which is a public wiki) is exceedingly broad in scope and often very specific, it's also searchable.
Before filing a problem report, you should check Common Problems, the Site NoticeBoard, General NoticeBoard and search for terms relating to your problem. Admin tends to be annoyed if PRs are filed about things that are already documented.
Many of these links are to external sites and are "deep" URLs which are susceptible to mutation. If you find a broken link, please fix it!
These documents are formatted for printing, although they can be read online. They are in PDF and DjVu format. PDF and DjVu software is preinstalled on all VNS workstations and can be downloaded for free for other platforms.
