2.1 Google

Google offers certain services by Text. These services are used by sending texts with codes in them to 466453, which is "GOOGLE" on the standard DTMF keypad.

Here are the most useful codes

weather	Weather in your area-code, send "weather somearea" for weather elsewhere
define word	define word
movies	Movies in your area-code, send "movies somarea" for movies elsewhere
nyx	stock quote for NYX, any U.S. ticker symbol works
web someterms	Fragment of Google results for someterms
# curr in curr	Currency conversion, eg "2 usd in gbp"

2.2 Cha-cha

Cha-cha operaters search the web on your behalf, send natural language questions such as "What's the population of Alberta, Canada". Cha-cha is free, but sends one advertisment per question and limits you to twenty questions per month. Text cha-cha at 242242 which is CHACHA on DTMF keypads.

2.3 Twitter

Twitter users can update their status by texting to 40404. Non-twitter users can have their mobiles updated with people by sending "follow someusername".
