Printing Index Cards

Note: These instructions are for Open-Office Word-processor.

1.  Configure the Page

This step configures the page as it is laid out in the software.

1. Go to Format→Page
2. Set the following values

All Margins should be set identically

2.  Design your Card

Use the Word-processor's tools to create the card.

3.  Prepare the Printer

   1. Remove all of the paper from the printer.
   2. Load your index card(s) flush right, lengthwise.
   3. Slide the grey slider flush with the left edge of the card(s)

4.  Print your Card

   1. Go to File→Print
   2. Click Properties
   3. Set "Paper size" to "3x5 inch index card
   4. Set "Orientation" to "Portrait" (Important!)
   5. Click Ok
   6. Configure the rest of the dialog box settings as needed.
   7. Click Ok

5.  Reverse Printer Preparations

   1. Slide the grey slider to the far left
   2. Load the paper flush right.
   3. Slide the grey slider flush with the left edge of the paper
