We are pushing out a script to correct gamma values of the monitor on your workstation. "Gamma" is complex property of physical display screens related to luminance. Each individual display device has a built-in contrast-ratio but since so many devices exist, the host operating system must compensate with a "gamma correction" value. That value is 1.39, in our case. As a consequence of this, contrast on the monitor should improve.
The script is run by the general login script so the contrast-ratio on the screen may abruptly change as you log in. This is normal §
