Vistua Network MTA Bounce Messages

If you are here because an email failed to go through one of the following is likely the cause.

  1. You mis-spelled the mailbox name (<exmaple@vistua.com> instead of <example@vistua.com>)
  2. You accidentally inserted punctuation a space. (< example@vistua.com> or <example @vistua.com>)
  3. You explicitly denoted the root zone with a terminating dot (I.E. you addressed a mail to <example@vistua.com.> Although technically the dot validly designates the DNS root zone, this syntax does not apply to email for esoteric historical reasons. )

A Bounce Message is an automated server message that notifies the sender that the message was undeliverable for various reasons. There are many points at the message exchange process that could fail. Bounce messages could be generated by the sending mail-server or the receiving one.

If you receive one from a vistua.com or vistua.net server, this means that our server(s) accepted your message but then discovered that it was unable to deliver the message to its intended recipient.
